Trump and Zelensky exchanged insults
The relationship between US President Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has taken a sharp turn for the worse in recent weeks. Trump accused Zelensky of just wanting to continue to “make money”, while Zelensky criticized Trump for asking too much and “living in fake information”. The relationship between the two broke down, as Zelensky had been complaining about Ukraine’s failure to join the “Saudi peace talks” and finally angered Trump. Trump first criticized Zelensky for provoking the Russia-Ukraine conflict and bluntly stated that Ukraine should hold elections. At the same time, Trump also said that Zelensky’s current approval rating was only 4%, which seemed to be a hint that Zelensky should step down. Zelensky was not to be outdone, and responded to Trump from a distance: his approval rating is very high, and criticized Trump for living in “fake information released by Russia”. Seeing that Zelensky dared to fight back against him, Trump was furious again, and posted wildly on social media, “replying” Zelensky as a “slightly successful comedian”, and warned Zelensky from a distance: Take peaceful actions quickly, otherwise your country will not be saved. Trump’s remarks were quite threatening, but judging from Trump’s series of diplomatic attacks on Zelensky, the relationship between the two can basically be said to have broken down.
