Trump criticizes Musk’s proposal to build a third party: “It won’t work”

Trump once again expressed surprise at Musk’s opposition to the “grand and beautiful” tax and spending bill, saying that Musk had long known that he wanted to cancel the mandatory electric vehicle policy. Musk forwarded Trump’s post on related remarks, mocking “What is ‘real social’? I haven’t heard of it at all.” Musk also said that the “American Party” is the solution to the current problems in the United States. He did not rule out the possibility that the American Party might support a candidate in the 2028 presidential election, “but the focus of the next 12 months will be on the House and Senate elections.” According to U.S. law, the establishment of a political party eligible to participate in an election requires a complex certification process to confirm its qualifications. First, a caucus or convention must be held to elect temporary officials and designate the name of the party.
