Several pro-Ukraine protests have taken place across the United States following an unpleasant and argumentative exchange between U.S. President Donald Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in the Oval Office of the White House. Hundreds of people gathered in New York, Los Angeles, Boston and other parts of the United States to oppose J.D. Vance’s attack on Zelensky in the Oval Office, Trump’s pro-Putin comments and to show their support for Ukraine. Protesters holding pro-Ukraine signs lined a road in Waitsfield, Vermont, where Vice President Vance and his family were on a ski vacation. Vance and his family moved from their planned ski resort to an undisclosed location due to the demonstrations. Waitsfield was the first city to organize a protest against the Trump-Vance administration after the U.S. and Vice President clashed with Zelensky, focusing on the cause of the quarrel, namely how the United States should end the Russian-initiated war on Ukraine. Pro-Ukraine protesters gathered in Boston, Massachusetts on Saturday. Protesters held Ukrainian flags and pro-Ukrainian signs that read “We Stand with Ukraine,” “Ukraine is Strong” and “America Stands with Ukraine.”
